Got me a new one today. 4 gpm 4200 psi.
I have a wedding barn deck and a home on lake michigan already on the schedule.
I cleaned a section of my white vynil fence and can already see how much time this is going to save me and do a better job than the lowes crap I had been using.

Anybody else offering power washing?

I did back in the 90’s. Did windows too. I liked it but got tired of the sun and Alabama heat,
Yeah I do like working in AC but it's nice to get outside too.

I don't have many jobs for it but I do these big jobs in the spring and I'll upset it when I see a need.

I kind of enjoy the work. Its like mowing grass. Loud and everyone leaves you alone.

Nice machine! Vanguard has always made a great engine. I have a Karcher and it's been great unit, but I don't do anything commercial with it.

When I was a kid I would live with this rancher during the summer months when school was out. He had me pressure wash one of his tractors and a 4 wheeler. When I was done there wasn't a decal left on either. Valuable lesson learned that day.

that's a good model. I bought the same one last year. I did it back in early 2000's for about 7 years and cleaned windows also, but after falling off the ladder twice and coming home smelling like bleach, I came to the conclusion that it isn't the best job for an owner/operator. But, since you already got one, invest in a J-Rod. You'll be glad you got one

That's funny. You can definitely do some damage with this thing.
I use my butler sometimes on small jobs like porches or a sidewalk leading into the house and cleaning tools off but this thing is scary dangerous.. i didn't expect how much it pushes me back when it's triggered.
The guy I got it from told me not to adjust the pressure but instead he gave me different jets to lower the gpm. I thought about putting a gage on it but for now I'm taking his advice. He also helped me out with my butler pump last year. The guy knows his stuff so I'm trusting him.

OK, old man story here (I swore I'd never be this guy...):

Back in the late 70s to early 80s, cleaners just could accept spending 8-10K on a truck mount.

As a traveling truck mount salesman then, the right thing to do was to focus on production time and performance, which is why I spent my late teens through early 30s cleaning restaurants for free after they closed from New England to the Carolinas to Michigan.

But the other thing we did was try to show people all of the other cool things a truck mount did, so that the guy could justify the costs:

My demonstrations included:

Climbing up on ladders and using the high pressure hot water to melt ice out of gutters ( I learned to hate this)
Pressure washing siding and brick. (Guess what? Many brick and masonry cleaners contain Hydrofluoric Acid....which etches glass. Glass windows.... Paid dearly for those)
Steam cleaning engines. (I found out about protecting electric components from moisture...after the first one I did)
Pressure washing heavy equipment (Yes Nick, I removed decals too!)

What is funny is that at that time, no one thought of using the truck mount for hard surfaces and upholstery, as we commonly do now.

Oh, one more thing:

All of us truck mount salesmen heard a story (probably apocryphal) about about a farmer who pressure washed pigs before they went to the slaughterhouse.

Thank goodness no one asked me to demonstrate THAT one!
