Seagrass rug with leather bound border.

My technician cleaned a sea grass rug that has a two inch leather border using HWE (mistake). So now the border is wavy how can I correct this? Thankyou in advance.

been there, done that, mine wasn't too bad

misted warm water over leather to soften again

then with a person at opposite corner pulled it tight, went around each side a couple of times then hung it to dry

Sea grass shrinks...

enjoy the irony and in the mean time find a rug plant with a wood "blocking" floor that can nail/stretch the rug to the floor after re-wetting it.

It SHOULD dry straight and flat



But it may be cheaper to buy her a new rug
