What are your time tested and proven tricks to prevent wicking on CGD when performing HWE?

Thorough vacuuming, you would be surprised how much dry soil that thin carpet can hold. Extra dry strokes, often the floor isn't very level underneath the carpet, use dryers. I rarely ever have wicking problems.

wicking as in the next morning?
or recurring spots/spills weeks/months later?
(I don't call that "wicking"

wicking.....Honest to God, it very VERY rarely happens.

i suspect most of the monkeybutts that have troubles are blowing too much PSI
(like way too many cueballs have been convinced to do)
and/or they don't know how to wand

recurring spots weeks/months later are another thing.

2 Stealth Dryers and several smaller fans on the van. I’m still there when it’s dry so could deal with any issue that comes up.

Why do you want to know?

just slow down on the dry passes (real slow over spots) and make sure all the prespray is rinsed out

Make sure all your filters are totally clean. Run 2.5 inch hose as close to the wand as possible. Mix a hydroforce full of Saigers code red. pull out the CRB. Make sure you are running an acid rinse,Flex ICE is great. Bring the Swivel wand and zipper inside the building also. Vacuum everything.
Set up your APO and fire up the machine. Make sure you use a Seal-a-door. Once everything is set up and running, bring out your shower fed 175 or cimex. Encap the whole thing and then wrap up.

They have had nice "clean appearing" carpets for a decade.

Pitty them
though because its not really clean. :winky:
EXACTLY..... I do work for a large janitorial company. ALL the jobs they call me into to do, LOOK LIKE SHYTE.... they bonnet everthing. They use backpack vacs, no beater bar. When I vac, on average, I’ll go through 2-3 bags on a job. They soil load is UNREAL. After HWE, they still look like shyte, even after a 48 step Mikey special.... they left it too long....
